About Me

Candace F. Carter

I am a proud East Carolina University alumna who bleeds purple and gold. I graduated from ECU with a business degree and a concentration in marketing. I started my marketing journey through my volunteer work with the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina where I was previously part of the fundraising and marketing committee for the organization. During college, I was the Marketing Coordinator for Triangle Marketing Club, Marketing Intern for Prevailing Path and the Executive Vice President of ECU's chapter of American Marketing Association.

After graduation, I began an internship at Walk West that quickly turned into a full-time position as Marketing Specialist. Want to read about my Walk West journey? Check out this blog post.

My marketing experiences and involvement as a leader during college prepared me for my career. These opportunities have contributed to my growth as a business professional, and I have learned many valuable skills that I am able to use in the marketing field. I believe that my creativity, collaboration, passion for marketing, desire to learn, and my strong work ethic will continue to help me thrive in the industry and be a great addition to any team.

Passions & Hobbies

Those who know me can testify to my strong love for animals. I have always been a "dog person," but my true passion for dogs began with my volunteer work at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina as well as the Pitt County Animal Shelter a few years ago. Whether it's playing with the shelter animals, taking them on walks, volunteering at fundraising events, or fostering, I really enjoy helping these sweet animals in any way that I can.

Another one of my interests relates to my love for photography. Being able to capture a precious moment that can be cherished for a lifetime brings me true joy. Taking photographs is one of my favorite hobbies, and it is such a blessing to be able to relive those special memories.

I enjoy writing blogs in my free time and often find myself writing about my personal experiences, passions, adventures, and marketing topics.

If you haven't gotten the chance to read any of them yet, navigate your way to my blog page and pick a few that interest you! Or, if you have some great topic ideas that you think I should write about, please contact me to share them.

Thanks for checking out my site! I hope you enjoy it!
