About Me

Candace Carter

I am a proud East Carolina University alumna who bleeds purple and gold. I graduated from ECU with a business degree and a concentration in marketing. I started my marketing journey through my volunteer work with the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina where I was previously part of the fundraising and marketing committee for the organization. During college, I was the Marketing Coordinator for Triangle Marketing Club, Marketing Intern for Prevailing Path and the Executive Vice President of ECU's chapter of American Marketing Association.

My marketing experiences and involvement as a leader during college have helped prepare me for my career. These opportunities have contributed to my growth as a business professional, and I have learned many valuable skills that I am able to use in the marketing field. In the near future, I plan on working in the Raleigh area to pursue a career in marketing. I believe that my creativity, passion for marketing, desire to learn, and my strong work ethic will help me thrive in the industry and be a great addition to any team.

Passions & Hobbies

Those who know me can testify to my strong love for animals. I have always been a "dog person," but my true passion for dogs began with my volunteer work at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina a few years ago. Whether it's playing with the shelter animals, taking them on walks, volunteering at fundraising events, or fostering, I really enjoy helping these sweet animals in any way that I can.

Another one of my interests relates to my love for photography. Being able to capture a precious moment that can be cherished for a lifetime brings me true joy. Taking photographs is one of my favorite hobbies, and it is such a blessing to be able to relive those special memories.

If I'm not taking pictures of my sweet dogs, family members, or some of my new adventures that I am embarking on, odds are that I'm taking pictures at an East Carolina University football game or somewhere on campus. If you haven't been blessed with the opportunity to attend one of these school-spirited games, then you must make a note to purchase tickets for the next home game and experience the thrill of being in Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium first hand.

I can assure you that there's nothing like attending an ECU football game. Win or lose, the game day atmosphere that takes over the little college town of Greenville, North Carolina, is unlike any other. Over these past four years during my time as an undergrad student, I have really enjoyed cheering on the ECU Pirates at every home game, rain or shine.

Prior to college, I had never written a blog before. In fact, it wasn't until my sophomore year that I began experimenting with content writing in the form of blogs. I still was very new to the idea, but when I heard about an internship opportunity that consisted of content writing on social media and blogs during my junior year, I could not pass up on the opportunity.

Through my internship, my writing skills began to improve and writing a blog became second nature to me. Now, I enjoy writing blogs in my free time just for fun. I often write about my personal experiences, passions, adventures, and topics that I have learned about in marketing.

If you haven't gotten the chance to read one of my blogs, navigate your way to my blog page and read a few that interest you! Or, if you have some great topic ideas that you think I should write about, please contact me to share them.

Thanks for checking out my site! I hope you enjoy it!
